Arrived in Chicago!

We arrived in Chicago yesterday around noon time and made it to the hotel by about 1:30. Everyone checked in, went to their rooms, and got ready to go out again. We ate lunch as a group in a great lunch cafe called the West Egg Cafe. We then braved the biting Chicago wind in order to make it down to the Navy Pier and check out the shops exhibits and museums. We got back to the hotel and decided to meet and eat dinner together at an Irish pub down the street. Did I mention it was cold? The forecast called for snow this morning but we've only seen rain so far, but I'm hopeful. Registration for AMUN begins at 1pm today and the introductory sessions will begin at 5. The opening GA assembly is at 6:15 and afterwards there are committee sessions on 10pm. I know that I'm a little nervous about beginning the sessions, but can't wait to see what its like. Unfortunately, because of our events tonight we will miss the lighting of the trees and street festival on the Magnificent Mile tonight. :(
